Join us on September 20th for a tour of Clover Bee Farms, a 3-acre vegetable farm located near Shafer, Minnesota. Margaret and Andrew Hanson-Pierre started their farm back in 2015 and aim foremost to support the health of the land and the people it feeds. They use a low-till system using a combination of landscape fabric, straw mulch, and tarping for weed management to help build their soil and have increased their soil organic matter more then 1% since they started farming.
They grow 150 varieties of certified organic vegetables and sell their produce to local restaurants, farmers markets, and a 60-member CSA. They were named Chisago County’s 2022 Farm Family of the Year by the University of Minnesota.
Come learn more about the Margo and Andrew’s farming journey and how they started and continue to build healthier soils!
Refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own chairs and please leave your furry friends at home!
