Shoreline Maintenance Workshop

  • 7240 337th Avenue Northwest Princeton, MN, 55371 United States (map)

Shoreline restoration projects are a great solution to keep nutrients, sediment and other pollutants from entering lakes. This keeps waterbodies in good condition for recreation and aquatic life. However, maintenance is required to keep these projects in their best shape so they can do their job! This workshop will give participants the knowledge so they can confidently take care of their shoreline buffers.

This will be an in-person event to teach how to do regular maintenance on shoreline buffers. Topics will include how to identify weeds from native plants, how best to remove weeds, how to split thriving plants and more! Aaron Soltau from the Prairie Restorations Inc will be presenting.

The location will be outdoors at a Shoreline Restoration Project on Green Lake. You do not need to bring anything, just come prepared to stand outside and learn about shoreline maintenance!

If you know you will be attending please email Lydia Godfrey at Lgodfrey@isantiSWCD.org or call our offices at 763-689-3271.
