Martin Lake Carp Fishing Clinic

  • 23130 East Martin Lake Drive Northeast Stacy, MN, 55079 United States (map)

Dr. Przemek (‘Shemek’) Bajer, owner of Carp Solutions, LLC. Przemek will provide instruction on techniques used in his homeland of Poland, where carp fishing is king. We’ll be using method feeders (see video links below) with a special blend of bait.

Event Purpose: To supplement carp removal efforts to benefit lake water quality, habitat, and the game fishery. Added Bonus: Reeling in these big fish is really fun!

A Fishing License is Required. MN law allows adults to assist kids under 16 bait, cast, and remove fish without a license. The child must hold the rod, set the hook, and reel in the fish.

What to Bring: Participants are encouraged to bring their own rod, preferably a stout rod with 12-20 lb test line. A landing net would also be helpful.

What’s Provided?: 2-3 rods will be provided. Method feeders and the terminal tackle will also be provided. Members of the Martin Lakers Association will receive their first one free. All others will be provided at cost ($12/ea). Bait will be provided as we’ll be using a special mix of ingredients that you won’t find at bait stores in MN.

Carp disposal: Containers and disposal will be provided at the clinic. If you catch carp at other times, please dispose of them legally away from the lake.
